Overall, the installation was not difficult. The instructions were good, especially as they were trying to cover several different vehicle models over a range of years. I did get a Haynes shop manual, which was helpful. As it turned out, I was lucky to have a very helpful neighbor, as there were two tools I got from him, without which I might have been up a creek. His spring compressor was a big help for removing the rear spring. Removing the top ball joint on the front wheel without a special tool, however, would be damned near impossible. I could have beat on the spindle all day and never gotten the ball joint loose. Fortunately, my neighbor had a picklefork, which did the job in a hurry. I strongly urge that the instructions recommend having these tools before starting the job.
